- September 16 – Fall Pictures for 9th – 11th grades
Smackover High School students will take school pictures on the following days:
On-campus instruction will resume on Monday at its regularly scheduled time.
Virtual seat in the classroom students will be expected to log in and follow their schedules as well.
Due to SNSD being without power in the majority of the area and at both campuses, school will be closed on Friday for on-campus instruction.
Students are encouraged to read from any books that they have available from their home, class, or school libraries. They also need to make sure that they are up to date on any assignments which were given during the first several days of school if they are able and have electricity.
The Smackover-Norphlet School District will be following all Arkansas Department of Health guidelines for Junior High team events. This guidance can be found at venue_plans_school_sponsored_team_sports.
Based on this guidance, the district will be pre-selling tickets to junior high school athletic events so that we are able to better serve our community throughout the pandemic.

Total Tickets – 300 tickets will be generated for home games.

Priority Ticketing attendees will need to pick up their ticket(s) on Monday to be guaranteed a ticket(s). You can still pick your ticket up Tuesday – Thursday, but there is no guarantee it will be held after Monday. (ex. Tickets sell out Tuesday. You come to pick up on Wednesday. There will not be a ticket available.)
Tickets not claimed by this group Monday will go into general sales.

The Smackover Band Booster club meeting scheduled for tonight has been canceled due to the weather conditions.
The meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 1, at 5:30 pm at Hobgood Auditorium in Smackover.

Students will be asked to complete the following Hurricane AMI Assignment with support from their parents/guardians. This assignment is based on information your child has learned in the first three days of school.
If your child is unable to do some of the items, don’t worry! This will give us information on what your child has already learned to do and what items your child needs more support.

Due to an abundance of caution based on the predicted hurricane weather forecast, the Smackover-Norphlet School District will be closed for on-campus instruction on Thursday, August 27. This includes all campuses including the Smackover Preschool.
