Disaster Relief Drive

A group of students from Smackover High School, under the direction of Mrs. Morgan McDaniel Atkins, will be doing a disaster relief drive beginning tomorrow and ending next Friday, September 8,  for our neighbors in the South Texas area.

We are in need of medium-large sturdy boxes that we can use to ship/transfer the items we collect. If you have any of these boxes available, please drop them off at the SHS office or contact Mrs. Atkins directly so that she can pick them up.

If you would like to donate any of the following items, please send them with a student or deliver them to SHS high school:

 

Items needed for donation:

  • Bottled or Jugs of Water

  • Batteries

  • Flashlights

  • First aid kits

  • Matches

  • Non-perishable food items (canned meats, fruits, veggies,etc…)

  • Paper plates, cups, napkins, utensils

  • Blankets or Sleeping bags

  • Toilet paper

  • Hygiene items (Soap, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc…)

  • Laundry Detergent

  • Feminine supplies

  • Garbage bags

  • Diapers

  • Baby wipes

  • Formula

  • Bottles

*Any items you use on a daily basis is needed*

Fourth and Fearless Competition Forms

The Hooten’s Classic football game is tomorrow at SAU Magnolia!

There will be an exciting half-time competition available to ALL 9th – 12th grade students who are interested in participating.

Please click on the links below for the guidelines for the Fourth and Fearless half-time competition, the registration form, and the release form.  If a student is attending without their parent, be sure to sign the forms in advance and give them to your child prior to the high school pep bus leaving for the game.

Hooten’s Classic Half-Time Competition!

Are you a high school student planning to attend the Hooten’s football game at SAU Magnolia on Tuesday, August 29?  If so, you should consider participating in the Fourth & Fearless Skills & Drills half-time competition.

This competition is for boys and girls in 9th – 12th grade.  Contestants have a chance to win an iPad Mini or a $100 Walmart gift card!

It’s free to play!  Students need to register at the game.  Parents must sign a permission form.  (The permission form will be posted on the blog once it has been received.)  They will draw names for contestants to play at the game, so be prepared to register there.
