Reminder from the School Nurses

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Please remember to contact the school nurses if your student has tested positive for COVID-19, been in close contact with a positive case, or is being tested for COVID-19 even if it is during Christmas break.

School will be starting back in 1 week and we must stay diligent about keeping our school safe and open.

A few safe practices to remember:

Wear a mask, wash your hands, and social distance.
If your student is sick, please keep them home.
If your student or anyone in your household is being tested for COVID-19, please keep everyone home until the test results come back.

If you have any questions, please call the school nurse and leave a message. We will return your call.

Smackover FFA Supports VFW Women’s Auxiliary

Smackover FFA assisted the VFW women’s auxiliary group in assembling Buddy Poppy bundles for Veterans day. Today we were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation and Random Acts of Patriotism coins for each member that helped.

Cardboard Shoes

Mrs. Kristi Rainwater’s 6th grade art students at Norphlet Middle School created cardboard shoes based on “Walk A Mile in My Shoes”.

Merry Christmas from Smackover Preschool!

Smackover Preschool students went from class to class singing Christmas Songs and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

Mrs. Kristi Rainwater’s students at Norphlet Middle School created cardboard gingerbread houses.

Mystery Smells!

What part of your brain processes smell? Students in Mrs. Russell’s science classes at Smackover Elementary School tried to figure out the mystery scents.

Northern Lights

After reading “Hanukkah in Alaska”, 3rd-4th grade students at Smackover Elementary School researched The Northern Lights and K-2nd grade students wrote facts about The Northern Lights.
