Tickets are on sale NOW for the Hooten’s Kickoff Classic which will be played on Monday, August 27, at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia at 5:30 pm.
Tickets may be purchased at central office for $7. Advance ticket sales benefit the school district.
Norphlet Elementary School and Smackover Elementary School will post their class lists on Friday, August 3, at 4:30 pm.
The class lists will be posted on The Buckaroo Blog and on the district’s website.

The El Dorado Testing Center will be closed Friday July 27.
Also, the Hampton Testing Center will be closed Thursday July 26.
Anyone having questions or wanting to know other testing location opening/closing should contact headquarters at 870-226-3713 ext 300.

There will be a mandatory Parent Meeting on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 5:30pm in Hobgood Auditorium. We will use this time to introduce our 2018 Buckaroo football staff. Coach Brown is excited about this upcoming year and would like to discuss his expectations with all of you!
We will also be discussing issues related to concussions, MRSA and heat illnesses. This information will be useful in helping your student athlete stay healthy throughout the season.
Other topics that will be discussed at the meeting will include: Booster club, volunteering in the concession stand, parent contact information and pre-game meals!

Open house will be Monday, August 13, from 5 – 7 pm for all elementary, middle, and high school campuses in the Smackover-Norphlet School District. (Smackover Preschool Open House will be Thursday, August 9, from 5 – 7 pm.)
You will be able to meet your new teachers, find your classrooms, and see your friends again!
The cafeteria will also be open on the night of Open House. There will be people available at the cafeteria if you need help completing any of the paperwork for free or reduced meals. Make sure you come by to see all of the friendly cafeteria staff!
Norphlet Middle School registration will be August 1st and August 2nd from 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm – 4:30 pm.
All grades (6th, 7th, and 8th) are invited to pick up their schedules at any of the above listed times.
To Our Buckaroo Community-
Buckaroo football season is quickly approaching and the 2018 football programs are in the works. Smackover High School’s Sports Medicine club will be responsible for the football programs this year. These programs will be available for purchase at every home game this season. They are a great way to show off your little and big Buckaroos. Program ads are also great tools for promoting your business and showing your support of Buckaroo athletics.
We will be adding a Memorial page for anyone wishing to recognize a loved one who was a Buckaroo supporter!!! Memorials will be $10 per name listed.
