SHS Students focus on “Leftover” words Activity!
Mrs. Moore’s 11th and 12th grade ELA students focused on “leftover” words in formal writing the week before Thanksgiving. These are words that should be replaced with stronger adjectives and adverbs. Students created a table full of Thanksgiving “leftovers” and then wrote sentences on place cards with words that should be used instead. Happy Thanksgiving!
SHS Math “Ornaments”
Mrs. Major’s Geometry and Algebra III classes made ornaments today in class. Each class had to calculate how to modify the recipe to make enough ornaments for the students in their class. Students had to measure the ingredients to complete the recipe.
