Over the past few weeks, fifth and sixth grade students have been researching Christmas tradition around the world. As part of the culmination of their research, each student created a box with items related to their selected country and they made presentations to their class.
The students put a lot of effort into their projects. We are proud of their excellent work!
The Smackover School District Spelling Bee was held today.
Congratulations to Bryce Lockhart for winning the spelling bell. He will represent our district at the next level of competition. Bryce is a 7th grader at Smackover High School.
The runner up in the spelling bee was Taylor Harris. Taylor is a 6th grader at Smackover Elementary School.
This year all of the sixth grade students participated in an essay contest. The winners of the contest helped to lead the Smackover Christmas Parade.
Congratulations to Lilly Reyes who served as the Grand Marshall of the Smackover Christmas Parade!

Do you still have presents which need to be wrapped?
If so, come by the cafeteria Saturday, December 15, between 7 am and 2 pm! They will wrap while you wait or you can drop off gifts to be wrapped.
The sixth grade class is raising money for sixth grade graduation through this project.
Sixth grade parents are asked to bring wrapping paper, boxes, ribbon, tape, scissors, etx.

The Smackover Schood District Board of Directors meets in regular session on the second Monday of every month at 6:00 pm in the board room of the central office. The public is welcome to attend.

Semester tests for Smackover High School will be on December 19th, 20th, and 21st. Elementary and secondary students will be dismissed at 12:40 on each of those days.
Smackover Preschool will remain open for its regular hours on those days.
