The Arkansas Activities  Association mandated “Dead Weeks” are from June 26-July 9th.  During this time all athletic facilities on the Smackover-Norphlet School District campus will be closed.  

July 9-12th grade will lift and do drills together (no contact).

When practice begins on August 1, the 9th grade will practice with the 8th grade.

All students must have an up to date physical to practice!!!!!!

SNSD June Board Meeting Canceled for June 20! Rescheduled for Monday, June 27

The Smackover Norphlet School District June Board Meeting scheduled for June 20 has been moved to Monday, June 27. The meeting will be held at the Smackover central office beginning at 5:30pm.

SNSD Will be Closed for Federal holiday Monday, June 20

The Smackover Norphlet School District will observe the Juneteenth federal holiday on June 20,2022. Summer school and all campuses will be closed for Monday only! Summer school will resume on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Best For The Future

Norphlet Middle School recently celebrated the retirement of Larry Beasley, Principal; Jerry Langston, former Assistant Principal; and Kim Stanton, English teacher. The staff and retirees enjoyed a time together with a potluck luncheon and fellowship.  The combined number of years of service is almost 100 years!  Mr. Beasley, Mr. Langston, and Mrs. Stanton will certainly be missed as valued members of the NMS family.  You all are wished the best in the next phase of your lives!
