Smackover Elementary Gifted and Talented students are holding our third annual fundraiser to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer.
We will be serving lemonade for donations during Parent-Teacher Conferences in the SES building Tuesday. All proceeds go to this foundation. Please help kids and their families by providing desperately needed hope! Thanks for your support!
Norphlet Middle School students celebrated Dot Day by getting creative with 3D augment reality.
What is Dot Day?
International Dot Day is observed annually on September 15th since 2009. Dot Day is a holiday in which people of all ages are encouraged to harness their own creativity and embrace their own confidence as they make their mark on the world.
Smackover High School Introduction to Engineering Design students study technical sketching and orthogonal projections of a block assembly. These students in Ms. Philyaw’s class are learning just how different an object looks from each of six different views.
Everybody had a great time “under the city lights” at the Homecoming parade!
Smackover High School students participated in a variety of dress up days this week in honor of Homecoming.
Congratulations to the Smackover High School girls golf team. They are the District 5-3A runner up for 2019.
The team will be advancing to the state tournament which will be held on October 1 at DeGray.
There will be a 4H meeting on Tuesday, October 1, at 3:45 pm in the auditorium.
Ms. Tami Philyaw’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year engineering students in 3rd period took the Pringles Stack Ring Challenge today.
The Pringles Stack Ring Challenge is an engineering challenge in which students create a ring using only Pringles chips, no tape or glue allowed!
SNSD Homecoming Week Snake Walk and Tailgate will be held tonight at 7:00pm.
However, the bonfire has been cancelled because of the current county burn ban.
