Smackover 4H Club to Meet

4-H is an exciting program where you get to “learn by doing.”  4-H is about having fun as you are learning exploring and discovering new things. In 4-H, young people make new friends, develop new skills, become leaders and help shape their communities.

The Smackover 4H Club recently had the opportunity to “learn by doing” as they planted a garden at the Smackover Elementary School. The students were actively involved in learning about what it takes to create and maintain a garden. They planted bell pepper, broccoli, strawberries, sage, basil, and oregano. Robin Bridges, County Extension Agent, instructed and assisted the 4H members in gardening.

Come join us at our next meeting Wednesday, April 23rd, at 3:30 in the Elementary P.E. room. Any youth between the ages of 5 and 19 are welcome to attend. Check out Arkansas 4H online at http://arkansas4hfoundation.com
