It’s Still Flu Season : (

From the Nurses’ Office:

It is flu season and we are seeing increased flu cases in the school. The symptoms vary from fever to no fever, headache, sore throat, tiredness, body aches, and cough. If your child has any of these symptoms, please have them seen by their doctor.

Please be mindful of others and keep your child at home if they are sick. Sending a child to school sick puts other children, teachers and staff at risk.

We would like to remind everyone to wash your hands and cover your coughs and sneezes.  To help decrease the spread of flu, wipe down surfaces at home and work with bleach based wipes.

Stay healthy,

From the Office of the Superintendent

On Tuesday night, the Smackover-Norphlet School District Board of Directors unanimously voted for David Osborn to become the Athletic Director/Head Senior High Football Coach beginning in the 2020-2021 school year.  Coach Osborn’s goal is to develop an athletic program in which athletes are successful not only on the field, court, course, or track; but also in life.

As Coach Osborn leads his team of coaches, the emphasis will be on having a structured plan that will allow all of the athletic teams within the district to grow and prosper.  Furthermore, his expectation for student athletes and coaches is for all to represent their school and community in a way that makes everyone proud of the athletic program within the district.

Coach Osborn has a plan to ensure that student athletes are disciplined, perform well academically, and behave respectfully in the classroom and in their sport.

With over ten years experience in the Smackover-Norphlet School District, Coach Osborn knows our community, our athletes, and our coaches.  He looks forward to serving in the capacity as Athletic Director and we look forward to the next exciting page of Buckaroo athletics!

Go Bucks!
