Community Support Needed for Archery Tournament

The Smackover-Norphlet Archery teams will be hosting the  Annual Archery Tournament on Saturday, January 21st, 2017 in Norphlet.

Last year’s tournament hosted about 200 competitors and 350 spectators.

Coach Magee is seeking donations for concession stand items and/or door prizes for the competitors and coaches.

Requested Items:

  • Gift cards
  • Small gift items
  • Hamburger buns
  • Hot dog buns
  • Hamburger patties
  • Hot dogs
  • Condiments
  • French fries
  • Nacho cheese
  • Nacho chips
  • Popcorn for the popcorn machine
  • Candy bars
  • Drinks

Monetary donations are also being accepted.  Checks may be made to Norphlet Archery and mailed to Norphlet Elementary School, Attention: Stefanie Magee, P.O. Box 50, Norphlet, AR 71759.

SES 5th Graders to be Featured on KATV on Friday

The Smackover Elementary School library media specialist, Mrs. Weaver, submitted her Mannequin Challenge Videos to KATV.

Mrs. Weaver was notified this morning that the video of Mrs. Pyron’s students will be featured on Daybreak on Friday morning.  The segment will air at 5:55 am and then again at 6:54 am.

Be sure to tune in to KATV tomorrow morning for this special event!

 

SES Students Take the Mannequin Challenge

Have you heard of the mannequin challenge?  The Mannequin Challenge is a viral video craze featuring people imitating mannequins and freezing for the camera while music plays in the background.

Smackover Elementary School 5th graders took the Mannequin Challenge with Mrs. Weaver in the library.
