Busy Bucks

Throughout the school year Smackover Elementary Student Council participated in several projects. During Red Ribbon Week, they greeted students upon arrival to school with “Drug Free signs.” For Valentine’s Day, they made signs and cards for a local nursing home, and set out treats and surprises for faculty and staff.

In the spring SES Student Council made signs for Kindergarten through second grade students to encourage them to do their best on the end-of-year test. They also helped with smencil sales to raise money for our projects.

Mrs. Preston would like to thank all of the Student Council members for having a willing and eager attitude anytime a meeting was called. She would also like to thank the teachers for allowing the students to participate in all of their end-of-the-day meetings. Go Bucks!
