Students in Sarah Spradlin’s Biology classes at Smackover High School have been studying macromolecules and enzymes. In one lab, students investigated a fake “poisoning” and tested the victim’s “vomit” sample for proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids to determine who and what poisoned “him.” In another lab, students learned how a catalyst speeds up the chemical reaction of an enzyme.
