Congratulations Mrs. Lois Nutter!

Buckaroo Nation, join us as we congratulate Mrs. Lois Nutter on her retirement!  Mrs. Lois retired from the district effective June 30, 2022. She dedicated 23 years of service to the Smackover-Norphlet School District and she will truly be missed.

Mrs. Lois began her career as a substitute teacher in SNSD.  After 15 years of substituting at the elementary and high school, she was offered the position of administrative assistant at Smackover High School. Her role as an administrative assistant was vital to the successful operation of the school.  Mrs. Lois was the face of the Smackover High School office.  She was such an asset to the district, school, students and staff. Her contribution to the administration team was tremendous and her work ethic was second to none.  We are so grateful and blessed to have had her at SHS.

Mrs. Lois will enjoy her retirement by accompanying her husband (Mike Nutter) when he plays music at different events.  She will also enjoy traveling to visit her sons Todd Morris, Troy Morris (and wife Ginger), as well as three grandchildren: Rand, Breaden, and Dalton.  As a very talented seamstress, she will also continue to be busy with calls from friends and loved ones for special events.

Once again, Mrs. Lois will be greatly missed and hard to replace.  We wish her all the best!
