NMS Family STEM Night

Norphlet Middle School PTO invites you to join us for

Family STEM Night

When:  Tuesday, December 15 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm

Where:  The Newly Renovated Norphlet Middle School

We will kick off the NMS Family Night with the PTO sponsoring a Theme Basket Silent Auction.  100% of the money raised from the silent auction will go back to the classrooms and the students.

Basket themes that will be up for auction:

  • Curl Up with a Good Book (Mrs. Morgan)
  • All Things Christmas (Mrs. Stanton)
  • Holiday Baking (NMS Office)
  • Let’s Get Grilling (Mr. Forbess)
  • Buckaroos (Central Office)
  • Razorback (Ms. Thurlkill)
  • Game Night (Ms. Morton)
  • Stocking Stuffers (Mrs. Boyd)

We will be having an EDIBLE CAR CONTEST for students.

The BOOK FAIR will be open in the library.

Classrooms will be open.

Fun STEM activities presented by LOCKHEED MARTIN will be in the STEM classroom.

We look forward to seeing students, family, and community members on Family STEM Night!

Teen Driving Contract

Every year, nearly 6000 teenagers are killed in car crashes and about 300,000 are injured.  Despite safer card, better roads and countless driving programs, the number have stayed fairly constant for more than a decade.

Allstate has created the Parent-Teen Driving Contract to help parents and students outline key driving responsibilities, decide on consequences regarding those responsibilities, and defining the parents role in helping teens succeed.

SES Holiday Shop

The holiday shop at Smackover Elementary School will be open Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.  This is a great opportunity for the students to shop for the family members and keep it a surprise.

Pee Wee Basketball

Registration forms and payments for the Pee Wee Basketball League (Boys and Girls 3rd-6th Grade) are due on Friday, December 11th.  Please turn in forms and payments at your child’s school office.  Make checks payable to Smackover-Norphlet Schools.  For more information, click here.

NMS PTO Meeting

Norphlet Middle School PTO will meet Tuesday, December 8th at 4:00PM in the library.

We will be finalizing plans for the Family STEM Night, theme basket silent auction, and book fair. We are still needing volunteers for that night as well as donations for the baskets.
