There will be a special called board meeting of the Smackover School District Board of Directors on Wednesday, March 19, at 5:00 pm. The meeting will be held in the Board Room of the Central Office.
The public is invited to attend.
On Monday, March 17, a Community Meeting was held as part of the regularly scheduled school board meeting. The following information was presented to the public.
This form is similar to the form which was presented to the Norphlet community; however, information was added to address questions that were specific to the Smackover community.
W.I. Bell is scheduled to take Spring class pictures and individual pictures on the preschool campus on Thursday, April 3.

Smackover Preschool has three ABC slots and 1 paying slot available for three and four year old children for the remainder of the school year. Please contact Debra Tolin at 725-3651 for more information.

Several Smackover High School band students participated in the Arkansas School Band & Orchestra Association Region 3 Solo & Ensemble Festival Feb. 28 at Star City High School.
A total of 42 students participated and 18 received 1st place- Superior- gold medals and 16 received 2nd place-excellent- silver medals. 10 students earned the third place Very Good Rating.

The Smackover FFA Chapter competed in the Southern District Horse Judging Career Development Event held at the Garland County Fair Ground on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Participating members were Claire Arrington, Kalyn Key, and Holly Reynolds. These three will advance to State competition on April 18, 2014.
